Lady Gaga to remove song from streaming platforms

Lady Gaga has been the latest artist to apologise for collaborating with R. Kelly, the R&B singer who has been accused of sexual misconduct with teenagers.

She has made the decision to remove her song “Do what you want”, a song she collaborated and performed with R. Kelly from her 2013 album. In a post on her Instagram page.

“I’m sorry, both for my poor judgment when I was young and for not speaking out sooner,” she wrote, citing her own trauma from being sexually assaulted. “My intention was to create something extremely defiant and provocative because I was angry and still hadn’t processed the trauma that had occurred in my own life.”

I havent see the documentary, but ive heard the stories before so it’s not new news for me. It’s so funny how people are making decisions now that they have seen that these ladies were telling the truth. Lady Gaga made a mistake working with him and it did seem like everyone forgot about his aligations until this documentary came out.

At least she’s taking a stand now.

She is also proof that we shouldn’t judge people by their past only their present and views on their future.
