(UPDATE) Wendy Williams Show Hiatus, Everything we know

The celebrity gossip talk show based in New York City 10 years running may be on the verge of cancellation.

The Wendy Williams show went on hiatus a week before Christmas break, during that time we learned that Wendy hurt her shoulder and was in a sling for the entire week prior to the 2018 holiday break.

She remained very vague in explaining details on what happened to her shoulder on the air, however she pressed on and finished out her last shows for the year.

Since then The Wendy Williams show has been on hiatus. Wendy was supposed to return on January 7th, however the week was filled with reruns of previous shows to allow more time for Wendy to get better.

Toward the end of the same week Wendy Williams team went on social media to let every one know that she will be taking another week off to be back to 200% health. This past week the show featured a revolving set of “hot talk week” a panelests of guest hosts.

The show will once again air repeat episodes for the week of January 21st – January 25th. The following week (January 28th – February 1st) the show will air original episodes with revolving hosts. There is no word on who will host the show, and with short notice we are sure Wendy’s team are diligently working to get a weeks worth of guests hosts to substitute. As of now the future of the Wendy Williams show is uncertain since there is no mention of her return as of yet.

A report surfaced last week from site LoveBScott that claimed Williams’ health struggles were concerning friends, and that there were rumors of self-medication happening. But what stood out in that story was the claim that Hunter’s alleged mistress of more than 10 years, a woman named Sharina Hudson, may be expecting a child with him.

“She’s allegedly pregnant and still living just down the street from their house,” a source told LoveBScott. “Word around the show is that they’re going to divorce sometime now that little Kevin has gone [sic] college.”

A few people who aren’t so crazy about Williams, including former Family Matters star Cherie Johnson and 50 Cent, have jumped on the baby rumor to rub it in the talk show host’s face. But Williams is saying the entire LoveBScott story is false. A cease-and-desist letter was sent to the site late last week.

“Mrs. Wendy Williams-Hunter and Mr. Kevin Hunter categorically deny each and every allegation made by your ‘sources,’ even if not specifically enumerated herein,” it read.

This isn’t the first time Williams has denied stories surrounding her husband. Last year, when reports initially surfaced claiming that Hudson and Hunter have been in a long-term relationship and that he bought a home for her close to the house he shares with Williams in New Jersey, Williams said on her talk show that she and her husband were doing just fine. She didn’t, however, emphatically deny his relationship with Ms. Hudson. That was pretty hard to do considering he and Hudson were spotted out together and his name was in Hudson’s mailbox.

Many people speculate that Wendy and Kevin had a big fight since news about Sharina, the woman Kevin was accused of getting pregnant, was made public and thats how she hurt her shoulder.

The statement made from the Hunter family suggests that Wendy is taking a personal health break from working. News that Kevin and Wendy were getting a divorce and the pregnant Sharina were all debunked.

Wendy is the queen of celebrity gossip, but now since the spot light is on her how could she come back on the air. Some sources suggests that this may be the end of her show. She mentioned several times that she didn’t want to do the show forever.

Watching the show from the past year she seems over it and ready to move on to something else. With an uncertain future The Wendy Williams show could be on the edge of cancellation.
