Avengers Endgame won’t be the last time we see Bucky Barns or Sam Wilson. They will return in their series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” on Disney Plus sometime next year.
This is the first time Marvel Studios will be introducing their shows that will be highly interwoven into the MCU much more than the other shows on ABC, Netflix, and Freeform were (if they were even part of the MCU)
One of the unconfirmed plot lines of “Falcon and the Winter Soldier” is that the government will be completely against Sam Wilson becoming the new Captain America. Daniel Bruhl will be returning to reprise his role as Baron Zemo.
Remember Zemo from Captain America Civil War, he was responsible for the feud between Steve and Tony. One would argue that he was one of the reasons why the Avengers lost against Thanos in Avengers Infinity War.
Emily VanCamp will be reprising her role as Sharon Carter (Agent 13) in the series as well. The last time we saw her was during the Civil War, who knows what she’s been up to since then. She could have been snapped away or did she live out the 5 years with half the population?
So far there are no other mentions of characters returning for the Disney Plus show, many of the announcements came from San Diego Comic-Con a few weeks ago.
Falcon and the Winter Soldier will be a part of the MCU’s phase four plan and is expected to be available to watch on Disney Plus with 6, 1-hour episodes, in the Fall of 2020.
Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan will both be reprising their roles, as Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes.
Will you be subscribing and watching the new MCU series on Disney Plus?
